Wendy, a teacher and young Christian woman, is accustomed to living the good life with her wealthy husband. But when she is devastated with the news that her husband has given her a sexually transmitted disease, and she is pregnant, Wendy struggles with the choice to stay or leave. In the midst of Wendys trials, her sister, Kim, and mother, Marlene, support her emotionally, physically, and spiritually, despite Wendy’s attempts to hide all of the problems that plague her. She has always striven to set a good Christian example for Kim, who is disillusioned with the church because she feels it has condemned her for being an unwed mother. To complicate matters, Kim is scorned by her God fearing grandmother, Frances, who has a few skeletons in her own closet.
