“Never Say Never”
The Enemy Between My Legs is a first-person account of the author’s experiences with childhood sexual abuse and the emotional, physical and mental impact the abuse has had on her throughout the years. Having dealt with teenage promiscuity, Ms. Jones takes a no-holds barred approach in informing readers that it can happen to anyone, boys and girls, and that no age is too young. She explains to readers how the most seemingly innocent touches from those we trust most can very well be sexual advances and interpreted as sexual abuse. Alarmingly, the younger the victim, the harder it is to know the difference. Ms. Jones offers signs to look for in a person that may be experiencing sexual abuse and ways to offset and not perpetuate cycles of sexual abuse in families. She also explains how sharing her story and revealing the truth has helped her begin her healing process. Sharing her story has also enhanced her relationship with her husband. Readers will close this book giving second thought, if they don’t already, to whom they allow care for their children. Those who are in a relationship with someone who has been sexually abused will close the back cover with a new understanding of certain behaviors exuded by those once victimized.
Book Description
Have you ever been sexually abused? It's a simple, yet profound question. The answer is either yes or no. Unfortunately, for as many as one in three females and one in five males, the answer is yes. Sexual abuse is not bound by race, economic status, or social class. It strikes every family. Because of the hurt, shame, and embarrassment it brings to families, no one wants to talk about it. Do you think that it hasn't happened in your family? Think again! Have you or someone you know been sexually promiscuous? Are you feeling lonely, confused, or depressed and don't know why? Do you wonder if the person who abused you ever thinks about it? Do you have problems being intimate with your spouse? Before you send your child off to another babysitter... Before you let your child play Hide-and-Seek... Before you let your child spend the night anywhere else... Before you call another pregnant teen a fast little girl... Before you say, My husband would never touch my child... YOU MUST READ THE ENEMY BETWEEN MY LEGS!

Thank you for being open and honest about sexual abuse. Your testimony will heal and deliver those that have encountered this horrific act. We must continue to stand in the gap and pray for children.
